Alright all you crazy bloggers out there… I hate the template for my blog! I was checking out some Word Press ones that are cool, but I am not sure how I could transfer www.bubbasmith.net to Word Press. I figured out how to transfer my posts and things of that nature, but is the url switch possible? I guess I am just looking for a cool look to my blog (again, I despise the blogger templates available).

If anyone could help me with this problem I would appreciate it!

I went to the Toby Keith concert last night. It was a descent concert, though I am realizing that the more places I go the more I find myself reflecting on everything happening around me. For instance, at the concert last night:

• I watched the performer to see how he “whews” the crowd
• I watched the crowd to see what they get excited about
• I was looking around at the sea of people (dreaming of seeing them gathering for something bigger than getting wasted and singing songs in order to escape reality for an evening).

One artist that played was Montgomery Gentry. They have a new hit single called “Back When I Knew it All” that talks about how wise we thought we were as teenagers only to grow up and realize we were totally clueless.

I want to take this week and talk about some beliefs I may have had in the past few years that have gotten shattered. These things have been life changing for me and have come as a result of pursuing growth on purpose. I hope they will benefit your life.

I’ll start a new “series” on Monday… for today… just some thing’s I’ve been reflecting on:

Pride and Humility - This Series by Keith Moore rocked my world… I think every believer needs to listen to it and it should be a requirement for those in ministry! Some thoughts:

• If it’s good… It’s God. If it’s bad… It’s You!!
• In Yourself you can do, say, know, and have….NOTHING!
• Don’t go around trying to impress people… just be impressive!

Be Strong and Courageous – This has been my theme for the 2nd half of 2008. When Joshua was taking over for Moses in Deut. 31…Moses told him to be strong and courageous and then in Joshua 1, God tells Joshua the same thing. Think about that… Joshua was filling Moses’s shoes… I can only imagine how unqualified he felt, how inferior, and unequipped. Yet, both Moses and God believed in him and told him to be strong and courageous.

When you know God’s called you to do something… it enables you to be strong and courageous and go after it! I’m starting to get that!

Youth Min - Here is a great thought from Brad Cooper on following MTV as a youth ministry… Good stuff!!
